Gingerbread Houses

Our friends invited us over to make gingerbread houses last week. She made everything from scratch and even had the houses assembled when we got there! Now that is my kind of fun! They also have a tradition where they fill one house with cookies and leave it on someone's doorstep. I can't think of a better way to spend Family Home Evening!
The moms put the icing on and the kids decorated them with candy. Notice the kidsÜ

Caleb wanted in on the icing action and did really well for his first try. He had fun squeezing it all over. He reminded me of that part in a Ramona book where she squeezes a whole tube of toothpaste into the sink to be naughty. It was hilarious.
Jacob put all of his favorite candies on his house (and had them all eaten just a few days later, I might add).

Thank you Amy and Travis for your friendship and the fun evening!
