8 Mumps

Weight: around 15 pounds
Eye Color: still don't know but leaning toward Hazel
Teeth: NONE, Zip, Zilch, Zero

Emeline is our little, silly sweetheart. She is still waking up about 3 times a night and our coping skills are lacking but she makes it worth it during the day. She is such a happy, smiley baby and loves to play with her toys. Some of her favorites are her bead necklaces, alphabet train, books, and Sing-a-ma-jigs. Most of all, however, she likes to play with her brothers and much to my dismay, she is very quickly becoming a Daddy's girl. She absolutely loves Cheerios and anything she can eat by herself. When she gets excited, she flaps her arms like a little bird, (refer to the picture below.) She reaches her arms out when she wants to be picked up and gurgles to communicate.

Say Cheese!

This is by far the cheesiest photo I have ever seen of myself! David and I attended our stake's Sweetheart Ball and they took our photograph. The photographer told us to look at each other and this is what he got. Wow.

We did have a good time though and I wanted to document it for posterity's sake. Here's to next year. I think we will have to prepare a little more before hand. We were definitely starting to feel our age on the dance floor and I am glad we didn't get any photographs of that...

I think I am in the wrong season

The last few days in St. Louis have been absolutely picturesque! It's been around 60 degrees and beautiful, blue skies. I am starting to see the daffodils and tulips coming up through the dirt and the birds have started singing again. (And the dogs have started barking again but don't even get me started on that!) Jake and I have had so much fun playing outside and we are officially ready for spring. I have serious doubts on the reliability of certain groundhogs.
We had a blast blowing bubbles for Emeline, swinging and playing hopscotch. Jake was a little nervous at first learning how to play, but he soon found that he was a natural! You know you are out of shape when you get winded playing hopscotch. Just sayin. Anyway, that is all he wanted to do for the rest of the day! Unfortunately we had to go car searching instead, because David's truck failed the safety inspection again. Oh well, we had great weather to walk around the car lots and we think we found a Hyundai Sonata that might be good. Pray it's not a lemon!
I love how you can see Jake and his lawn mower in the bubble!
