funny conversations

David says that I am a "Binge-Blogger" Well, I guess I am. I go through spurts. Here is a funny conversation I had with Jake yesterday:

Jake (while looking at a football)-"Stripes mommy! See the stripes on the football?""

me-" Yes! That's right! what else has stripes?"

Jake-"Um a Zebra."

Me- "Yes. Do you have stripes?"

Jake-"No..."

Me-"Your shirt has stripes"

Jake (while moving his finger along my forehead)-"You have stripes mommy, on your head."

Nice. Thanks Dad.

A conversation with Caleb, also yesterday:

Mommy-"oooh! Caleb! You found a roly-poly bug!"

Caleb- "yah! Now, I'm going to go roll it down a hill!"

Jake is Great!

Jake has been so much fun lately. He is totally two and good at it. He is the mostly mischievous little boy I know, and makes the silliest faces. He is still completely obsessed with tractors and all things construction. He loves Dora, blueberries and is totally a Daddy's boy. He tells me at least fifty times a day that he misses daddy, and while I admit that is not the best thing for my ego, I think it's cute he loves David so much. Everyday he says something hilarious and moves his eyebrows up and down and asks, "That funny Mommy?" He hates jeans and only wants to wear baseball shirts or his tractor pajamas. He finally stays in nursery and has a good time in there, thanks to miss Tina and all of the wonderful ladies in there. He will still nap for a good 3 hours everyday if I can get him to lay down and loves sharing a bunk-bed with his brother. I love him forever!

B.F.F

I heart these little kids! They recently refurbished "The Clubhouse" and have had many adventures in there. One of the best things about living where we do, is having greats friends right next door for my kids to play with. They do all sorts of crazy things together from playing pirates to detective work and even light saber fights on the lawn.
These two are so precious. Kyndal has been such a good friend to Caleb and leads him around wherever she goes. She talks a hundred miles an hour and plays sports better than most boys I know. She takes great care of Caleb and makes sure he is involved in everything.

The Relatives Came!

We recently had a wonderful visit from David's parents. They came, they played, they slept, they left. All-in-all, I'd say it was a truckload of fun. Here are a few things we did: The Zoo David and Jake on the carousel. 3-D movie on African Animals. Don't we look stunning! No, I am not a Braves fan. This picture of Chipper Jones is for you, Zac! We were lucky enough to go to the Cardinals vs. Braves Game for school night at Busch Stadium. Caleb was selected with three other students to go on the field before the game and watch batting practice. He was so excited and was all smiles the whole day. He even got a Card's autograph-#27 Tyler Greene. His teacher told us that he was selected because he was such a kind and wonderful little boy and she wanted him to be recognized for that. He truly is kind a wonderful. Everyday I am in awe of how sweet and patient he is and I am so grateful for him! Don't you just love this? Caleb and the three cups of beer on the ledge. hmmm.... This pic is for you, Adri. "What the! How long has that been there!?" Come back soon, and I might share some more cheesecake with you.
