sweet dreams

When I close my eyes and sleep tonight, I will be dreaming of this beauty. Someday my friends, someday! Oh, and did I mention it comes in pink?

Emmy's 4 month photo shoot

Here are some of my favorite shots:

On to the stats:

Weight: an even 12 lbs. 20%
Height: 25 in. 75%
Likes and dislikes: Emeline loves to grab things with both hands now. She loves chewing on her little plastic rings and her ballerina doll. She is teething and basically wants to chew all the time. She is getting a little pickier about who holds her and is starting to really recognized the faces of her family. Emeline can roll over both ways but doesn't like to. She prefers to fuss until I feel sorry for her and turn her over. I know, terrible, but I can't resist. She also laughs now and then when something strikes her fancy. It is the best sound ever!

We started her on cereal yesterday and she was thrilled. She has always shown an interest when we eat and I think it made her feel pretty darn cool Ü No fruits and veggies yet, but as soon as she masters the cereal, we will try those.

She is doing OK at night and still wakes up several times to eat and find her pacifier. She has been taking awesome naps though and loves to cuddle her little lovey blanket that my friend made her.

We love how she makes our family complete and the boys and I just adore her.

On a completely different topic, the St. Louis Cardinals are playing in the World Series!!! Woo hoo! The first game is tonight. Go CARDS!

A Visit from Grandma and Papa T

My parents drove out for a visit and were able to be here for conference weekend. If you don't know what conference weekend is, click here.
We were so excited and my dad was able to meet Emmy for the first time. It was so nice to have them around and to just relax together. David had to work because it was flower ripping out/planting week at the temple, but my mom, Emmy and I were able to go shopping at the Antique Mall and the boys were in heaven watching lots of movies with Papa.

Isn't she a Beaut? My dad took pity on me and got us a new toilet. Can we say
A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I have loathed our black toilet ever since we moved into this house and now I am rid of it forever, thanks to big trash pick-up day and the wonderful toilet installing skills of Papa Bruce and David.
We wanted to visit Powder Valley Reserve but realized once we got there that the building was closed on Mondays. I am still not used to everything here being closed on Monday, but we took advantage of the trails and went for a walk on the "Long Loop" instead. The weather was beautiful and we even saw some deer on the way.

I love that my parents still hold hands. How cute are they? Tender!
Caleb is all about board games lately. I found an original version of CLUE the other day at a flea market and we were excited to find out that only one piece was missing. And what would conference weekend be like without a puzzle? Oh, and conference was great too!Ü My favorite talks this year were:
Pres. Uchtdorf's talk during the Relief Society Session and Sister Elaine Dalton. We were so excited to hear about the new temple in Star Valley, Wyoming and the Provo Tabernacle being turned into a temple. Conference time is so exciting and I love to hear the messages from our General and Priesthood leaders.
No trip to St. Louis would be complete for my dad without a visit to Pappy's Smokehouse. He would drive the 21 hours straight from Utah just to eat there. Let me just say this trip did not disappoint. We went, we ate and will never be hungry again!
We laughed so hard because they sat us at the "Big Boy" table. It was about six inches higher than all the others and we assume that it was for larger people. The boys could barely see over the top!

St. Louis Balloon Glow

A few weeks ago, we headed downtown to see the Balloon Glow. We loaded up all the kids, a picnic dinner, and lots of excitement and headed down as soon as David got off work. We ate dinner in the parking lot and then walked to Forest Park. We got there early enough to see some of the balloons still going up, which was really exciting! Emeline didn't cry the entire time we were there. She loved to see all of the colors and lights and enjoyed her first real stroller ride. The boys were fascinated with one balloon in particular that they were trying to get up. We ended up just sitting down on the grass and watching.

They had fireworks at nine but we figured we could pass on that and left a little early to try and beat some of the traffic. ha! yeah right. It was crazy and it took us a good hour and a half to get home. Oh well, it was worth it.
