The Community!

Caleb recently did a project in school where they created a community as a class. Each child made their own house out of a milk carton and then they each picked a building to make for their community. I was really interested in what he would pick, as I knew this project was coming because a friend did hers last year in second grade. He came home and was so proud to tell me that his building was going to be a chocolate factory. I have never been so proud Ü I wanted to let him do as much of the project himself, I will admit I was very tempted to do a lot of it myself (I loved making stuff like this when I was his age), but all we helped him with was some of the gluing and painting. He had so much fun and got to be part of the transportation committee at school. They helped put all of the roads on and things like that.
When they finished, we all got to go down to the school and walk around and see everything. They were so creative and I loved seeing how excited Caleb was to show everyone. I am so proud of you Caleb and am so pleased at how hard you worked on your project. It looked great!
Emeline is 7 Months
My baby is 7 months old this month and I am still surprised at how much she grows every day. I have no idea how much she weighs but she is a petite little thing. She is tall and skinny like a typical Tregaskis and eats constantly. She is now a tummy sleeper and slept for 8 hours straight the other night. That, however, was short lived as we are back to the same old nightly routine of no sleep. She has been teething especially bad this week and it's so sad to hear her whimper. Still no signs of the actual teeth though. Who knows when they will grace us with their presence. Poor baby!On a positive note, she is now sitting up by herself and has shown a lot of interest in books. She loves to look at books with babies and eyes especially, and will do this sort of fake laugh when she sees a smiling baby. It's hilarious! She loves to play with her stacking cups and alphabet train. Her little locks of hair that grow by her ears are about four inches long. They are so funny but I can't bare to cut them. Some how they fit her personality Ü She loves her Binky and gets especially excited when David comes home.
I recently told a friend that Emmy is the missing piece of me that I didn't know I was missing before I had her. She is incredibly sweet and we love her so much.

First Snow
We woke up this morning to snow! Hooray! We have been waiting a long time this winter and it has finally come. Jake wanted to play in it so after getting him all dressed, he trekked out into the unknown. He was so cute. Emmy and I decided to watch from the window and I was giggling so hard. There is nothing like a little boy discovering new things. After pretending to be a digger and testing out his new snow gloves, he decided to teach himself how to sled. He pulled the sled out into the middle of the lawn and sat in it. When it didn't move he looked up at me and yelled, "It won't sled!" I explained that he needed to be on a hill and so he went up a little ways and tried again. This time he ended up sledding about ten feet down our hill and was so proud of himself. I loved that he tried something new and enjoyed it. His little legs started to shiver in his oh-so-cute Batman pajamas (Thanks Grandma T!) so I lured him inside with a hot cup of cocoa. Oh my boy! If you only knew what I would do for you!Wednesday, January 11, 2012
New Beginnings
One of my favorite primary songs describes this perfectly:
I am so lucky to be the mother to my children and the wife to my husband and the daughter to my parents. They are amazing! Last week I was feeling the need to go to the temple. I haven't been in a long while due to pregnancy issues and then life with a demanding/nursing baby. I am not complaining, I feel so lucky to have my little Emmy, but I was really feeling the need to go. David suggested I invite a friend to go with me and he would stay home and take care of everything so I could go.
Well, I called up a friend and we scheduled a time to go. Little did I know that I would be going on the 9th anniversary of my first time going through the temple. As we were walking out, I was looking through my bag and noticed my little name tag from my first endowment session. It was so cool to know that I had chosen to be at the right place at the right time! I love it when little things like this happen and it proves to me that I am important to my Heavenly Father and that he loves me.
What made it even better was when I got home and saw that David had not only gotten the kids to bed but he had basically cleaned the entire house and even did the hand-wash dishes. (This is saying a lot in our house!) Life is good and being married to the man of my dreams makes it even better Ü Happy anniversary on the 16th!
