Thieves! Robbers!
All right! I demand to know who stole my baby and replaced her with a toddler! You know who you are. What do you have to say for yourself?!

Missouri Sunsets
We had the most gorgeous sunset the other night. I was just getting Emmy out of the bath and carrying her to the living room when I noticed everything inside the house had turned a beautiful rose color! We have a two-story house so our living room window is pretty high up and we get some spectacular views. I didn't want to miss getting a shot of it so I laid Emeline down and ran out to the front porch to snap a quick picture. When I got back, Emeline was running around the living room, stark naked, and then proceeded to pee on the living room rug. It was worth it! I am loving these mid-west sunsets!

The Pony
Emeline is getting so spunky lately. I cannot take pictures fast enough.(That's probably a good thing!) Anyway, I just wanted to post a few of my favorites as of late.
Her hair grows straight down her face and we have resorted to putting it in a pony on top of her head. It's really the only hairdo I can do while she is running away from me.
She is obsessed with her binkies. She would prefer to have one in her mouth and one in each hand. When she wants one she reaches out her hand and says "Sank you? Sank you?" She is so polite.
She says "Hi" to everyone and grins her silly grin. The other day I went to Wal-Mart and there were a bunch of senior citizens waiting by the pharmacy. She charmed them all and did it while wearing her un-footed pajamas(we cut the feet off because she hated them)and banana all over her face. They were putty in her hands!
She has a beautiful belly that I love to poke and a contagious giggle that gets the whole family laughing.

Last Summer Hoorahs!

We wanted to get out with the kids while we had some beautiful weather so we decided to head to the Botanical Gardens and the Zoo. We also took a walk around Simpson Lake for family night the other night. The temperature has since risen again, but I am so grateful for the respite we were given and welcome the thought of fall in the coming months!

Don't Worry, I'm a Ninja
My Jacob turned five on August 31st. He had a hard time deciding what kind of party to have but in the end, decided to bring one friend to Chuck E. Cheese. We had never taken him there, so I don't know where the fascination came from, but he was pretty insistent on going there. We took his cute, little friend Griffy and they had an absolute Blast together.
David was able to stay home in the morning so when Jake woke up, he opened all his presents and packages from us and the grandparents. He was so excited with everything and was smiling from ear to ear all day!
Jacob is very much into Ninjas right now and is often found playing Ninjago. I asked him what his name was the other day, and he told me it was Lloyd. ??? He cracks me up. His favorite thing to eat is a fruit roll-up and his favorite color is bright green. He started preschool a few weeks ago and is doing so well. He is excited to go and when I pick him up, he chats my ear off about everything. It is so fun to hear his little voice coming from the back of the van.
I am so impressed with his confidence now and he has grown so much. Literally. He grew 2 inches in 6 months! What a kid!

Mormon
For those of you who don't know what it's like to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (or Mormon), my friend, Marla, has very eloquently described in her blog, the way she views her membership in this wonderful church. I sometimes have a hard time putting into words how I feel, so thank you Marla! I agree with you 100% I encourage all to read it!
