Jacob's First Tournament

We spent the weekend with Jacob at his first Taekwando Tournament. He was so excited and had such a good time. A lot of the older students befriended Jake, and the other Tiny Tigers, and made the whole experience really special for them. Jacob competed in Forms, Weapons, Combat Sparring and Sparring. He really excelled at his weapon and his practice paid off. He earned lots of medals and can't wait to go to another tournament in the spring. I was so proud of his endurance and bravery! He ended up sparring against a few boys that were ranked way higher than he was and he did a terrific job. Way to go Jacob! And now I can breathe again......

Grand Master Lee, who is a 9th degree black belt, came to visit during the tournament. He's basically the "bee's knees" and did a workout session with the tournament participants the night before. Then he signed autographs! Jake thought he was so neat because he had a gold belt.

Jake is amazing and what a great opportunity for him to grow and develop this talent that he loves. You are awesome parents to help encourage him
