Gone Fishin'

We know a wonderful couple who go to our church. Ollie is brilliant and worked for NASA and was involved in planning Neil Armstrong's Lunar landing. He also builds his own humongous telescopes and anything else you can think of. Debbie is basically a spitfire of fun. She had an unknown eye condition that caused her to go blind and now navigates life with her personality and finesse. I have never once heard her complain and am amazed at the things she accomplishes in a day. She knits, makes beautiful pottery and is the life of every party. They are kind and generous and offered to watch our kids this last weekend so David and I could attend the temple. We told the kids where they were going and they were bouncing off the walls, they were so excited. Emeline walked around the house saying, "Debbie, Debbie, Debbie". Needless to say they enjoy their time at the Deppong's house.

When we went to pick the kids up, this is the sign we were greeted with on their door.

I thought this was so fun! We hopped back in the car and found them fishing in the neighborhood pond and grinning from ear to ear. They each caught some fish and Caleb learned how to take his fish off the hook on his own. photo P4208849.jpg photo P4208852.jpg

For real?!! We are so blessed to know such amazing and genuine friends!
